Why I’m Running
I’m running because Nevada County deserves leadership grounded in experience, integrity, and a deep commitment to the community I call home. Raised in the orchards of Colusa County, I learned early the value of hard work, honesty, and service. Those lessons carried me through 16 years of administering and protecting elections across our region - years spent ensuring every voter, regardless of background or belief, has a voice they can trust will be counted.
Nevada County deserves an Elections Office that is steady, transparent, and technically skilled. I’m running to safeguard a system that is fair, accessible, and free from political gamesmanship.
At a time when misinformation is loud and trust is fragile, my mission is simple: keep the process secure, keep it clear, and keep it working for everyone. I’m committed to showing up, listening, and delivering the kind of no-drama, high-integrity leadership that strengthens confidence in our democracy and protects the institution we all rely on.
Meet Armando Salud-Ambriz
My story begins in the orchards of Colusa County, where I was raised by parents who taught me the value of hard work, integrity, and community. Those early lessons shaped my path - from a small-town kid navigating big dreams to becoming a nationally and statewide recognized elections administrator.
For more than 16 years, I’ve dedicated my career to ensuring elections are run fairly, transparently, and professionally. I’ve worked in every corner of the process: modernizing systems, training staff, improving voter access, and safeguarding the security of every ballot. My approach has always been simple - no drama, no politics, just service and results.
Nevada County is a place where people value independence, accountability, and leaders who show up. That’s the standard I’ve always held myself to. Whether hosting coffee hours, visiting small businesses, or partnering with community organizations, I believe in meeting people where they are and keeping voters informed with clear, accurate information.
At heart, I’m a public servant who believes democracy works best when we treat it with care - when we show up, tell the truth, and do the job the right way. I’m proud of the work I’ve done, the trust I’ve earned, and the community I serve. I’m committed to continuing that work with integrity, expertise, and a deep respect for every Nevada County voter.
